Therapy Pet Visitation

BC Pets and Friends Society
Provides screened and trained therapy pets and human teams to seniors, persons living with chronic illness, and to students in education environments.

Pet therapy helps residents to increase physical and social activity, and as well provides emotional benefits such as reduced stress and anxiety, relief of depression and disorientation, and improved morale, self-esteem and self-confidence.
