College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia

Regulates the practice of medicine under the authority of provincial law and is governed by the Health Professions Act. The college ensures physicians meet expected standards of practice and conduct, and act first and foremost in the interest of the public.

All physicians including family doctors, surgeons, specialists and podiatrists, who practice medicine in BC, must be registrants of the college.

Provides an online directory of all registered and licensed physicians in BC including family doctors, specialists and podiatrists. The directory includes physician's full name, practice type, address and phone number, gender, and languages spoken.

If looking for a family doctor, contact the Division of Family Practice in your area to see if they have a physician attachment program in place. If you are unable to find a physician, visit a walk-in clinic. To find a division office, search in the HealthLink BC Find Services directory using "Find a GP" and your city from the dropdown menu.
