Ladysmith Resources Centre Association
Provides education and support for pregnant women and new mothers to develop a healthy lifestyle in order to have the healthiest baby possible. Services include breastfeeding support, nutrition counselling, support groups, mental health education, and parenting information. Also provides food vouchers, prenatal vitamins and bus tickets for those who need financial assistance.

Ladysmith Resources Centre Association
Provides confidential counselling to assist adults, families, and couples with issues such as mild mood and anxiety disorders, parenting, grief and loss, relationship issues, divorce and separation, depression, and life transitions.

This is a free program designed for those who cannot afford to pay for private counselling or do not qualify for, or have extended health services. All counselling services are provided by trained volunteers under the supervision of a registered clinical counsellor with a master's degree in counselling psychology.

Provides seniors with access to medical treatment when independent means of transportation are not possible. Drivers are available for medical treatment appointments in Nanaimo or Duncan, operating a wheelchair lift equipped vehicle.

Volunteers are also available to drive using the vehicle owned by the person requesting a driver. It is requested that bookings be made as early as possible to assist in scheduling and finding volunteers. Two weeks pre-booking is preferred.

Provides community based services for victims of crime and trauma including justice related services, crisis intervention, advocacy, emotional support, and information on appropriate resources and referrals.

Offers a variety of services to seniors in the community. Programs offered include grocery shopping and or transportation assistance, seniors coffee drop-in, income tax assistance, and information sessions.

Also provides free and confidential peer counselling for seniors experiencing difficulties in the areas of relationships, loneliness, stress, life-style changes, aging and relocation.

Ladysmith Resources Centre Association
Offers outreach services to youth who may be experiencing problems at home, in school, or are experiencing conflict in their lives. The youth workers assist with emotional support for crisis situations, develop safety plans, as well as connecting youth to basic needs and supports such as shelter, income assistance, health care, addiction counselling, and other appropriate resources as needed.
