Children's Medical Equipment Distribution Service
Ministry of Children and Family Development
Provides recycled medical and therapeutic equipment for eligible children and teens in BC who qualify for medically necessary equipment in order to live at home. Service provided through the At Home Program.
Equipment available includes wheelchairs, toileting and bathing aids, hospital beds, walkers, bathroom safety equipment, and patient lifts. Equipment trials can be arranged.

Provides a helpline for children and youth who feel scared, confused or unsafe or who are experiencing abuse at home, at school or in the community, and would like to talk with someone. The phone line is available day and night and you do not have to give your name.

Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre

Provides services for young people struggling with severe and enduring mental health challenges with help and support from a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Services include holistic interventions such as individual or group therapy, prescribed medication treatment, emotional support, and programs that include participation from family members, caregivers, and other health or education professionals.

North Fraser Youth Day Treatment Program

Offers comprehensive psychiatric treatment and educational programming to youth and their families living in the communities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Belcarra, Anmore, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Burnaby and New Westminster.
Youth referred to the program receive intensive structured psychiatric and educational programming. The program includes individual and family therapy, group therapy, educational programming and medical management. Offered in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Fraser Health.

Registry of Autism Service Providers

Provides an online search listing of private practice professionals for families to find services for their child. Listed professionals must meet education, training and experience requirements which demonstrate that they are qualified to provide effective treatment programs for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services - Outpatient Clinics
Ministry of Children and Family Development
Provides forensic mental health assessment and treatment to youth involved in the criminal justice system who have mental illness or behavioural problems, or are involved in violent or sexual offences. Youth are referred for an assessment by court order to help with sentencing or by a probation offer and or custody services to help in case management and treatment goals.
