Diabetes Day Program at BC Children's Hospital

Provides diabetes education for families with newly diagnosed children with type 1 or 2 diabetes. Nurse educators teach families about how diabetes happens, symptoms and treatment of high and low blood sugars, diabetes management for an active or sick child, and how to do finger pokes and give insulin injections.
