Provincial Specialized Eating Disorder Program at Healthy Minds Centre

Provides a comprehensive, multidisciplinary, specialized program to assess and treat children and adolescents with eating disorders. The program fully integrates medical, psychiatric, psychosocial and other aspects of care through a combination of intensive inpatient, day treatment and outpatient services.

Also offered is the Looking Glass Residence; provides an intensive, structured program for BC residents aged 17 - 24 years with eating disorders in a home-like, therapeutic environment.

Eligibility
Age Restricted

Any child or adolescent aged 8 - 18 who, in the opinion of a community care provider, is struggling with an eating disorder.
Application Process
Access to program by physician referral only; requires parent or caregiver involvement, a recent psychiatric assessment, and ongoing care and support by a health care provider in the community.
