Nursing Support Services

Provides community-based services for children and youth that need care from a registered nurse due to the child's medically complex and fragile health needs.

Services include in-home respite care, assessment and case planning, referrals to community resources, and teaching and supporting school staff to help children and youth with their care.

Application Process

Physician or nurse practitioner referral required.

Eligibility

Age Restricted

Children aged 19 and under with complex medical needs that need care within the scope of practice of a registered nurse. Child must be a resident of BC and have Medical Services Plan (MSP) coverage.
