Provincial Milk Bank
Provides donor breast milk when milk from a baby’s parent is not available to help babies and children fight disease and infection. The provincial milk bank screens donors, collects donated milk at BC Women’s Hospital and milk depots across all health authorities and pasteurizes the milk. The pasteurized donor milk is then distributed to hospitals and families across BC who need donor milk.
Donor milk is available with a doctor’s prescription and is prioritized for children with the greatest medical need.
